Mancbeth was the brainchild of TM collaborator and chum Octavia Freud who went out in Manchester in the 90s so it was a subject close to his heart. As soon as he asked me to do it, I immediately thought I’d get some Hacienda-style classics so I came up with a playlist of some of those and some more recent stuff too. I actually asked my brother in law Matt if he could suggest some stuff to play too as it’s a scene he knew well too. Here’s the notes he sent me:
As a bit of a bonus, here’s a draft mix I did a few weeks before the actual event as a practice. It’s a bit longer so I managed t get more of the suggestions I was sent in to the mix but I was happier with some of the mixes in the actual set so swings and roundabouts I guess.
