This week’s been bit of a mad one for last minute gigs! After a fun full TM show supporting Pictish Trail on Tuesday I was asked if would do a DJ set at The Wheatsheaf the following Saturday supporting Mother and Flat Lager, The results of which you can hear below. Tracklisting and download links after the jump.
I’m really happy to say that I’ll be releasing a brand new 2-track single called The Myth of Failing Fast. The track listing is as follows
The Myth of Failing Fast
Tec Dub
Once again featuring the amazing vocals of Mr. Asher Dust this time in spoken word mode.
The single will be available from my Bandcamp page on a PWYL basis closely followed by your favourite (and not so favourite) streaming and download platforms soon after. The Bandcamp release will also include instrumental versions of both tracks.
I’m also really happy to say that I’ll be playing alongside the amazing Sink Ya Teeth and Means of Production at Fusion Arts Centre in Oxford on Saturday 9th November. Here’s a poster:
So apparently it’s Mr. Springsteen’s 70th Birthday today so here’s an acoustic cover I did of Streets of Philadelphia a little while back. Many happy returns Bruce!
This was one of my funnest DJ sets yet! Unfortunately the recording doesn’t feature Yaya Jojo‘s live scratches so you’ll just have to imagine them. A massive thank you once again to The Raiders DJ Crew, Nic, Yaya, Ed and Tap Social for having me. Tracklisting after the jump.
I’m really happy to say that I’ll be joining Oxford’s own Raiders… DJ Crew at Tap Social on Saturday 31st August. The full line up is:
Rabbit Hole Ed Nico Jo Tiger Mendoza Yaya Jojo
Yaya and I have been hoping to do something together since we came up with Wheedle Scratch so yeah it should be fun.
Doors are at 7pm and entry is free (not too mention that Tap Social do some amazing craft beers brewed on site!). Check out the event on Facebook for more info.
Just a quick reminder that I’ll be doing a semi-acoustic set alongside the amazing Asher Dust this Saturday as part of Here Comes the Sun festival at The Rising Sun Arts Centre in Reading. The Rising Sun is one of my favourite venues to play and here Comes the Sun is a great fundraiser with some great acts playing throughout the day. Advance ticket ticket are available for £8 from WeGotTickets or on the door for £10. Check out the poster below for the full lineup.
