The 2nd of 2 DJ gigs in June – Due to some (ahem) technical issues, my original slot didn’t happen so I ended up doing 3 mini sets instead. 2 were kind of breaks and beats based and 1 was random rock stuff because why not? Big thanks to Osprey and Darren for setting the whole thing up. Tracklistings after the jump
This was a bit of a last minute gig but it was a fun one to do. I have to admit I was a bit nervous so it’s a little rough around the edges. But people were dancing, and at the end of the day, that’s all that matters, right? Also it was fun to try out some new stuff on the O2’s rig.
This was one of my funnest DJ sets yet! Unfortunately the recording doesn’t feature Yaya Jojo‘s live scratches so you’ll just have to imagine them. A massive thank you once again to The Raiders DJ Crew, Nic, Yaya, Ed and Tap Social for having me. Tracklisting after the jump.
…or Compliments Of The Season as my family would say. I would normally do an end of year mix thingy and / or a free download but to be honest things have been a bit crazy in Mendoza land so unfortunately there’s no mix yet BUT I wanted to give you something so here’s a silly little beat I’ve been playing with.
And just because a feel bad about not doing a mixtape this year, here’s a special playlist with some of my favourite tracks of the year. Who knows, I may turn it in to an actual mixtape in the new year.
I’ve got to give a special mention to Laughing Lamb (aka Pete) who made one of my favourite albums of the year but hasn’t put it on Spotify. Listen / download on Bandcamp.
The lovely / crazy people at Truck Store let me play some of my favourite records* as part of their Record Store Day celebrations so here it is for you do listen to / download. It’s kind of random but there you go.

2016. What a year. Personally, locally, nationally and internationally….What. A. Year.
Thankfully the soundtrack was good. From my point of view, I’m very proud to have put out The Shadow with the brilliant David Griffiths and also helped put together the WDNHAD Vol. 2 compilation. There has also been tons of other great stuff to listen to as well which has made things a bit easier to swallow.
