I’m not great with words but fortunately I’ve got friends who are. I did this remix for the brilliant Lucy Leave a while back and I’ve been playing it in DJ sets for a while but we weren’t really sure how to put it out. Due to recent events, now seems to be a good time to get it out there.
You wait ages for one then 4 come along at once. Or something I don’t know. Anyway, a whole bunch of remixes I did a while a back have appeared on various streaming sites at the a similar time so I thought I would pull them together.
It’s been a little while since we’ve given you anything new to listen to so here’s a 2-for-1.
First up here’s a brand new remix of electro-blues-cabaret heroes Vienna Ditto‘s new single “Oh Josephine”.
[update: due to a slight delay with their single launch, they’ve asked me to take it down for a bit. Should be back soon]
Secondly here’s a new version of an old song, Tokyo Triangle (which I think was probably the first proper TM track). We did a similar version live a few times but I never got round to doing a fill mix down so here’s a downloadable version.
I’m really happy with both tracks so hope you are too. Let us know what you think in the comments below or on Facebook and Twitter. Both tracks have been added to the “Remixes, etc” playlist on SoundCloud. Based on what I’ve heard, you may want to goo have a look and download stuff sooner rather than later…
- Gun (Tiger Mendoza remix)by Chvrches
- Not Another Drugstore (Planet Nine Mix) by The Chemical Brothers
- Renegade Master (Fatboy Slim Old Skool Mix) by Wildchild
- Voodoo Beats by The Prodigy
- The White Flash (feat. Thom Yorke) by Modeselektor
- We Disappear by Jon Hopkins
- The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret by Queens of the Stone Age
This has taken waaaaay longer than I initially intended it to but it’s finally ready! Introducing TMCD5RMX featuring remixes of tracks from “Monsters & Miracles”. Listen and download below.
[Update 10/07/2014] I’m really happy to say that the collection has been expanded to 9 tracks!
I’m really happy to say that my dub remix of The Original Rabbit Foot Spasm Band’s King of Wine is finished and available as a free download. Have a listen and download below:
Not only that but check out the cool artwork above by Charles Cutting!
Awesome new EP by Oxford’s latex masked electro heroes is out now from all good digital establishments. And iTunes. Oh and it’s got our remix of “Ted Nelson” on it. Seriously though, how good is that?!?!?!?
This is something I’ve been meaning to do for a while but now that SoundCloud have removed the limits on accounts, I thought it was about time.
The set below is a collection of pretty much every (official and unofficial) remix that I created from 2005 to date. Unbelievably that’s over 4 hours worth of tunes. Crazy.
Most are downloadable but if you ask nicely at one of out upcoming gigs you may be able to get a CD with all of them on. Saves bandwidth anyway. Enjoy!
Massive round of applause to Half Decent for getting over 2500 views for this video! And yeah, it’s better than the original 🙂
