    It’s 2018 and cassettes are being produced…

    …and you know what? I’m totally fine with that. As part of this year’s Cassette Store Day celebrations a couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of contributing a track to the amazing Beanietapes Continuous Play compilation which collects together some of the highlights of the Oxford music scene on to a lovely cassette WITH Japanese style Obi Strip! How cool is that?!?!?!

    The launch at Truck Store over the weekend in conjunction with the cassette release of Max Blansjaar’s new EP was a lot of fun and I even got to do a cheeky little acoustic rendition of “So What” from Old Ideas 2. A massive thank you to Jules and Ben from Candy Says for having me!

    Happy New Year! We may not be Kanye or Taylor but here’s the cover art for the new album from myself and David Griffiths by the brilliant Ian Norris. The tracklisting is:

    If you follow on Facebook / Twitter / etc, you may already know this but Little Red’s new remix EP “Teeth, We Have” is coming out on Friday 27th November and features 2 brand new Tiger Mendoza remixes. Listen to my remix of “The Huntsman” below.

    You can pre-order the EP (which also includes my remix of “Petals”) from Bandcamp. The band are also releasing an EP of originals on the same day called The Huntsman. I’m not on that one though but never mind.

     

  • New old remixes to kick off 2012!

    As Eddie Murphy once said, “Merry New Year!“. We hope you all had a lovely seasonal break (and if you were working, hopefully it wasn’t too painful). My time off gave a chance to go through some old stuff and dust a couple of things down. So to that extent, I’ve updated some old remixes in a slightly George Lucas style (only without the shit pointless fx) and finished off a couple of new new-ish remixes from last year for your downloading pleasure. Here you go:

    Thank you to all of the people that have allowed their tracks to be tinkered with. I just hope I’ve done them justice! I’m actually already working on a couple of new (and official!) remixes which will be out soon but more news on that soon. Other things coming up in 2012 are new music (including more collaborations with Death of Hifi, Asher Dust and The Half Rabbits) and more live dates. Last year was brilliant and here’s to hoping that continues in to this year!
